The coracoid is described and figured as an ischium, an error corrected in the Geol. Mag. [3] vol. iv. (1887) pp. 478-9. Mr. Lydekker in the Supplement to the Catal. Foss. Rept. Brit. Mus. vol. iv. p. 273, suggested that the mandible (text-fig. 27, B) and the paddle (except the humerus) figured by Phillips in the ' Geology of Oxford' (1871) pp. 317 & 318 as Pliosaurus ?grandis, really belono-.
