Bexarotene chemotherapy drug. Bexarotene (trade name Targretin) is an oral antineoplastic agent used in chemotherapy to treat cutaneous T cell lymphoma. It has also been used for lung cancer, breast cancer, and Kaposi's sarcoma. Studies in mice have shown that bexarotene breaks down the protein plaques in the brain that are associated with Alzheimer's disease.
