A young boy stands in front of a boat that is being created near the shore front in Mogadishu, Somalia. 20 years of civil war had not only destroyed the people of Somalia it destroyed the entire infrastructure network of the capital, Mogadishu too. By October 2011 visible signs that everyday economic life and normality had began to return to Mogadishu were there for all to see. This had only become possible with the AMISOM offensive that had pretty much cleared Mogadsihu of Al-Shabab. From a tiny area around Aden Ade International Airport in Mogadishu, AMISOM forces have slowly pushed Al-Shabaab back and now control most of the capital city.
