Plant the early varieties as soon as the ground can be worked the others in succession from April to June. For private use they are generally sown in double or single rows, in drills, about two feet apart and three inches deep, for the dwarf varieties, three to four feet apart and four inches deep for the taller varieties. Those growing over two and a-half feet in height should be bushed. One quart to 80 feet of drill, 1 yi bushel for one acre. Add 10 cents per pint, 15 cents per quart extra, if sent by mail.
