Coca-Cola advert. 19th-century advert for an early form of Coca-Cola. This advert dates from the 1890s, only a few years after the drink was first produced in the USA, being sold from John Pemberton's pharmacy in 1886. The price advertised here is 5 cents. At bottom is the location of the 'Home Office' in Atlanta, Georgia, USA, with branches in Chicago, Philadelphia, Los Angeles, and Dallas. Coca-Cola was originally a coca-based drink, using cocoa leaves and claiming medicinal benefits. The modern drink does not contain cocoa, but does contain sugar and caffeine. The Coca-Cola Company was founded in 1892. The logo dates from 1885.
