Leastwise, that is what your friends, the thrifty Hollanders, say. They say; "it doesn't cost a cent, because it preserves something from costing a lot more in repairs than it costs to ; With that point settled, now let's consider how often a greenhouse should be painted. Most growers say, every two years. That's what we say. \Vhen both of us say two years, have a notion we mean it should be painted EVERY THIRD summer. Bear in mind that the sun pells down on those bars unmerci- fully, fairly pulling the oil right out of the paint. Also, that the I'Utty is ALWAYS hungry for oil, so it, too, is robbing the paint all it can. Don't lose sight for a minute of the fact that the lead or zinc in a paint has practically no preservative qualities. It's the oil that does the preserving. It's the oil that binds the lead and zinc together. ^A/hen that is gone the paint is done for. Lead and zinc only COVER AND FILL IN. Oil BINDS and PRESERVES. We make a special BALANCED greenhouse paint. By BALANCED, we mean a careful proportioning of lead, zinc and oil. A balancing that we have proven by years of use, means the highest possible covering and preservative powers. It costs less than paints that cost less. Costs less because it is worth SO MUCH MORE than it costs. Whether you buy this paint of ours or not, for all this season's painting, buy at least a gallon and try it out, side by side with other paints. If it doesn't lay easier, dry smoother, and last longer, of course you won't buy another gallon.
