Evangelical bishops consecrated in Our Lady's Church in Copenhagen on September 2nd, 1537 - After King Christian III declared independence of the Danish Church from Rome, he invited Johann Bugenhagen, Lutheran theologian from Pomerania, to consecrate the first Danish bishops.
