Memorial to German Colonel von Stauffenberg and the other participants in the July 20, 1944 plot to assassinate Hitler, Berlin


The Memorial to the German Resistance is located in the German Defence Ministry Courtyard where the ringleaders of the 1944 plot to kill Hitler were executed. The plotters included Colonel Claus Schenk Graf von Stauffenberg. The statue erected in 1953 "Young Man With Tied Hands" was crafted by sculptor Richard Scheibe.
