Army Spc. Ciara Johnson, a native of Eastville, Va., prepares cooked potatoes for lunch at the Forward Operating Base Tagab dining facility, Oct. 18, 2013. Johnson serves as a food service specialist with 2nd Battalion, 4th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Task Force Patriot. Before joining the Army she practiced medicine as a licensed nurse. Johnson chose to join the Army, as a cook, to learn to better facilitate the unique nutritional needs of her son, Johnnie. She says one day she will return to nursing and make it a career.
