Cosmetic Spoon in the Shape of a Mouse, New Kingdom, Dynasty 18, ca. 1550–1295 , From Egypt, Bone, L. cm (2 9/16 in.); W. cm (1 1/4 in.); H. 1 cm (3/8 in.); Th. at head cm (3/16 in.), This cosmetic spoon is a fine representation of a crouching mouse. The artist, working with a very thin piece of bone, has created the illusion of a sculpture in the round. The spoon side clearly represents the right side of the mouse, while the back of the spoon is the animal's left side
