Space shuttle Discovery (Mission 51-D, the 16th shuttle flight), showing the Telesat-1 (Anik C-1) satellite being deployed into Earth's orbit from the cargo bay of Discovery on Mission 51-D's first day in space (12th April 1985). In the centre of the image (folded in a stowage position against & aft of the Navy's communications satellite) is the antenna for Syncom 4 (LEASAT). Mission 51-D was 7 days in space, from the 12th to 19th April, 1985.
