PACIFIC OCEAN (Nov. 12, 2016) – Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Sampson (DDG 102) sailors receive a tour of the ship deck from Royal New Zealand Navy Chief Tani Turi aboard Her Majesty’s New Zealand Ship Endeavour. Sampson will report to Third Fleet, headquartered in San Diego, while deployed to the Western Pacific as part of the Pacific Fleet-led initiative to extend the command and control functions of Third Fleet into the region.
