WATERS EAST OF THE KOREAN PENINSULA (March 22, 2017) Boatswains Mate 2nd Class Javier Garza, assigned to the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Stethem (DDG 63), gives the signal to secure a MH-60 helicopter during a passenger transport with the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN 70) during Foal Eagle (FE) 17. FE 17 is a series of annual training events designed to increase readiness to defend the ROK, protect the region, and maintain stability in the Korean Peninsula.
