AMONG our eigh-teen members,Edith Hilton Valpeyis the only girl whohas the distinction ofbeing born and bred inclassic Andover. Un-doubtedly it was thisintellectual influenceabout her, which gave Edith such a start of the rest ofus girls, for in the very first recitation in Psychology,Miss Means called her a born Psychologist. Though1900 will soon leave Abbot we do not feel that 1900 willleave Andover, for Edith we hope, will be here to tell 1901that though they do very well, they must not hope to tryto reach the brilliancy 1900 attained. We feel sure thatshe will guard our interests with her usual care andwatchfulness. 25
