Wrestlers share many of the same values as those exhibited by Marines, so the Marine Corps Recruiting Command was interested in developing a national-level wrestling marketing relationship to engage the USMC’s target audience and their influencers. The Marine Corps Recruiting Command planned unique engagements to interact with important components of the Charlotte population, looking to share its message of opportunity with a diverse audience of people who in many cases had little previous exposure to the Corps’ culture.
