A double-barrelled shotgun, C. Gründig, Dresden, circa 1870. The barrels are of finely patterned Damascus in 12 gauge with smooth bores. It is signed "C. Gründig in Dresden" in gold on the midrib. Finely engraved and chiselled receiver with gold inlays. Game scenes with hounds and pheasants amid rich vine ornamentation. Beautiful walnut half stock with iron furniture engraved en suite.
