CLDC taught by the 83rd Army Reserve Readiness Training Center from Fort Knox, Ky. The CLDC is a five day course that trains company leadership teams (Commander, 1st Sergeant, Army Reserve Administrator, and training NCO). To enhance training, improve retention and help command teams prepare for training or operations. This course provides unit leaders with team building, leadership skills, and technical tasks by fostering the attitudes necessary to create cohesive leadership at company level. Leaders work through practical exercises, creating plans and products that can be implemented to attain higher levels of readiness in their commands. 1st Lt. Victor Diaz, 145th Multifunctional Medical Battalion Headquarters and Headquarters Detachment Commander, said, “I'm looking to find different ways about doing my job effectively, and really interacting with my team to help them do their jobs as well.” Soldiers in company level leadership positions are encouraged to attend CLDC to further improve their leadership skills.
