Carpenter installs wooden roof rafters on Leed Platinum Common Ground High School building.

Construction workers install roof rafters on Leed Platinum Common Ground High School building. 15,000 square foot building was built off-site, then installed in pieces via crane. Some interior wood is engineered lumber created by the Enviro-Lam process invented by Nordic Structures, that uses pieces as small as 1 x 2 inches to create structurally strong pieces glued with water based adhesives. Glulam construction is part of new green architectural trend called Mass Timber Construction
