Ben Nevis in the Scottish Highlands, the pony track footpath, marked by rock cairns, approaching the summit with light cloud in the distance.

Ben Nevis, the pony track is the most popular footpath to the summit of the highest mountain in Scotland and in the UK. The final approach to the summit is shown here, marked by rock cairns, and leveling out as it reaches the summit plateau, with light cloud in the distance. The mountain is near Fort William and Loch Linnhe, in the Scottish Highlands. There was a cloud inversion at the top, with few other peaks showing at all.
