McKay's and Snow buntings. In their winter plumage snowy and McKay's buntings are difficult to tell apart. The McKay's is always a little lighter and whiter then the snow bunting. Go figure. These birds on a wire were right behind the Bering Land Bridge National Preserve Visitor Center. Watch our website for upcoming birding events in May and June.
