It is purely a question as to whether or hot the wifeand the husband have a separate title to either an undivided halfinterest in the land or an actual separation of the land owned as anentity. Now, very properly under the law, some of these loans weremade. The Farm Loan Board criticised that. They suggested thatthat might be looked upon as stretching the intent ofthe law, and thepractice, so far as I know, was stopped. Mr. Strong. It is an absolute violation of the spirit.
