I planted Little Hhio Star and the customers made the <()iiiplaint that it grew too rank and was a foot tall. Let me know which is tho best. E. B. Try Ageratum Stella Gurney. This is a splendid dwarf variety. Princess ]'anline is also good. C. W. BONE. Bone meal is prepared by boiling the raw bones under sufficient steam press- ure to remove the fat, after which they are ground into a somewhat gritty meal which contains from four to five per €ent of nitrogen and forty-five to forty- eight per cent of phosphate. Though the fat has been removed, the carti- lage remains, and this has the effect of retarding the breaking up of the particles after the meal has been ap- plied to the soil, so that it is considered a slow-acting manure.
