The statue of John W. Thomas in Centennial Park. Thomas was a businessman and President of the Tennessee Centennial and International Exposition in 1897. He was also the president of the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway and instrumental in securing Centennial Park for the city. The memorial was created in 1907 and presented on behalf of the employees of the Nashville, Chattanooga & St. Louis Railway.
