Mr. Crampton is a gentleman of greatability and considered a high authority among railway mana-gers. Very few men have had such varied experience infreight matters, local and foreign, in both Canada and theUnited States. The author having been a brother officer with Mr. Cramp-ton, on the old Great Western Railway, for some years, hasmany pleasant memories of that gentlemans universal kind-ness and genuine good feeling, on all occasions of their meet-ing together.
