Sometimes called "New York" or "Los Angeles ; An extremely desirable variety, for all sections since it withstands extreme heat and forms perfect heads, of enormous size, which resemble cabbage in their solidity, measuring from 12 to 15 inches across and frequently weighing 2 to 3 pounds each.
