This variety was introduced in the Spring of 1875, and is the result of more than thirty years careful selection, until it has established its present character, prolificness and superior quality; the shell- ing becomes an easy matter from the factof thc])ods being entirely full, as represented by cut. They produce from :J to i more shelled beans to the acre nnder the same treat- ment. Five bushels of dry pods w^U shell one bushel of beans, while it takes 7h bush- els of the Large Lima to shell the same amount; Avhen green they are nearly as large as the Large Lima, "being thicker, sweeter, more tender and nn- tritious, remaining green in the pod a long time after ma- turing, which is a benefit to the market gardener. Another year's trial still proves that they have no equal. Price, $ per bushel; 75 cts. per qt.; 20 cts, per packet. BEAN, GOLDEX WAX. This new dwarf variety is ten days earlier than the German Wax, and the pods are large, long, brittle, entirely stringless, and of a rich golden color. As a snap bean, it excels all others in tenderness and rich, buttery flavor, while as a bean for winter use, it has few equals. Per qt., 50 cts.; per bush. $ BEAN, WHITE-SEEDED VALENTINE.
