Gunner's Mate 3rd Class Keane Lancaster, from Kingsport, Tenn., shoots a line from the flight deck of the amphibious assault ship USS Wasp (LHD 1) to the Military Sealift Command fleet replenishment oiler USNS Walter S. Diehl (T-AO 193) as they conduct a replenishment-at-sea (RAS) with the amphibious dock landing ship USS Ashland (LSD 48). Wasp, flagship of the Wasp Amphibious Ready Group, with embarked 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit, is operating in the Indo-Pacific region to enhance interoperability with partners and serve as a ready-response force for any type of contingency.
