A late 19th century aerial view of Haddington, a town in East Lothian, Scotland. It became the main administrative, cultural and geographical centre for East Lothian, when Scottish local government reforms took the form of the county of Haddingtonshire for the period from 1889 to 1921. In the 16th Century John Knox, the great Protestant reformer was born and educated in the town.
