Loading platform on the south side of the Cold Storage House in Gievres, France. Refrigerated boxcars with a capacity of 42,000 lbs. are being backed directly onto the siding from the main line of the railroad. The cars can be loaded in two hours by a team of twelve men. In a twenty-four hour period, 2,400,000 lbs. can be loaded or unloaded.
