Some years ago it was sold toMr. Jonathan Harpster, who let it stand on its first foundationto the present FRANKSTOWN (GEESEYTOllN), BLAIR COUXTY The first meeting for the purpose of either repairing the oldchurch at Frankstown or building a new one was held June I,1882. An incorporation was granted by the court December 3,1884. The lot of ground on which the new church stands wasdeeded by Mary A. Warfel on June 30, 1884, to Jonathan Slippey,John B. Warfel, elders; Irvin Mentzer and John Edgeley,deacons, then council of the Evangelical Lutheran church atGeeseytown. On December 8, 1882, a building committee wasappointed, consisting of Jonathan Slippey, John R. Warfel,Irvin Mentzer, John Edgely, Henry Crawford, John H. Myers,Samuel Cruse and Jonathan B.
