However, it can hardly be said of thepainting accompanying this note, that the colour isa deep lemon-yellow, though it is thinly and in someplaces thickly marked with russet, and has a ruaeetpatch near the eye and the stalk. The flesh is aliomoderately firm, fine grained, tender, and melting,very juicy, with a rich, luscious flavour, and a slightand agreeable dash of acidity such as is occasionallymet with in the Glou Morceau. Since this P^arhas increased in size, it becomes more like this fineold Pear at it
