A Marmot feeding in fornt of the GrossGlockner, Austria's highest mountain
Marmots are being affected by global warming as mthey are emerging from hibernation earlier due to earlier snow melt on their feeding grounds. A cablecar was built down to the glacier in Victorian times, but the glacier has receeded so much since, you now have to climb down another 500 feet or so to reach the glacier.
