The eye and ear-guards are riveted on. There is a brassplume-pipe on the forehead, which is a more recent addition. 28. Chanfron of large size (Middle of XVIth Century).—The eye-guards are beaten out, and the ear-guards and two large cheek-platesare riveted on. There is a rosette and long spiral
