Erie Harbor North Pier Light, Pennsylvania
Erie Harbor North Pier Light, Presque Isle State Park, Pennsylvania, United States The Erie Harbor North Pier Light is also known as the Presque Isle North Pier Light. The lighthouse is located at the far eastern end of Presque Isle State Park. The original construction was a wooden tower built in 1830. The current structure was built in France and assembled on site in Erie. The US Coast Guard operates the tower. The 1857 tower was relocated to its present location. The lighthouse is owned by the Coast Guard. The grounds open, but the tower is closed. Direction: Travel to Peninsula Drive, also known as Highway 832. Follow Peninsula Drive miles onto the Presque Isle Peninsula and into Presque Isle State Park to Coast Guard Road. Follow Coast Guard Road to a parking area near the pier. Boat tours of Presque Isle are available in the summer.
