A coal-fired steam locomotive (Snowdon No. 4) and carriage descending the Snowdon Mountain Railway between Hebron Station and Halfway Station. The locomotive was made in Switzerland by the Locomotive and Manufacturing Co of Winterhur. The narrow gauge, rack and pinion railway, first opened 1896, reaches an altitude of just below 1,085m. Snowdon summit is hidden behind the crags.
