Engineers at Kennedy Space Center prepare the Orion heat shield for transport to Marshall Space Flight Center for testing on March 2, 2015. The heat shield flew on Orion's Exploration Flight Test-1 (EFT-1) in December 2014, protecting the spacecraft from 4000 degree F temperatures during reentry.
