Inside of National Savings Stamp Book, UK, c. 1960, with stamps featuring Prince Charles


National Savings stamps were a popular savings scheme aimed at children in the 1950s and 1960s. The stamps were sold in schools and then stuck into savings books. Prince Charles and Princess Anne were featured on the stamps. Prince Charles stamp started with a value of one shilling, later increased to half a crown - vintage nineteen fifties/sixties item for editorial use only.
