An Illyrian type helmet,6th century Bronze. Tall skull with a hemispherical calotte and a narrow facial cutout,wide cheek pieces,indistinctly contoured crest base,pointed lateral recesses and a long sloping neck-guard. Lentil-headed rivets around the perimeter,the forehead with a small pierced hole for the attachment of a crest. Height 24 cm,weight 1142 g. Blue-green patina with soil encrustations,the interior of the brow,cheek pieces and nape reinforced with fibreglass,minor additions,especially at the tips of the cheek pieces and at the nape.
