The consequent deformities of theuterus may occasion abnormalities in pregnancy or complicationsin labor and after-delivery. If there is complete disjunction of thetwo ducts, the deformity is known as uterus didelphys (Fig. 39).If there is an outward junction but a complete disassociation of thetwo tubes except for their superficial union externally, the condi-tion is called uterus bicornis duplex (Fig. 40).
