Druid Order celebrate Spring Equinox at Tower Hill, London. Archivist's scroll and sword
The Druid Order celebrate the Spring Equinox at Tower Hill in London. Although tracing back a mythical history to 1716 (and to th e ancient druids) the Druid Order first appeared around a hundred years ago, led by its founder, the remarkable George Watson MacGregor Reid at Stonehenge in 1912 and 13. The celebrate the Spring Equinox every year at Tower Hill (and the Autumn Equinox on Primrose Hill.) My description of the event from an earlier year: The horn was sounded to the four corners, and then the sword was raised, and it was peace from the North, South, West and East. The Earth Mother, Ceridwen and her attendants brought a horn for a libation, seeds to scatter and flowers into the circle, and those departed were remembered.
