At last, with blaze of torches and showers of confetti, came the gay Carnival crowd, down the long avenue of maples. There rode the King of the Carnival in royal state, surrounded by his troop of subjects in their parti-colored garb; and in a moment our Class Chairman was crowned Queen and placed beside him.
