210209-N-JX182-1048 SOUTH CHINA SEA (Feb. 9, 2021) An E-2C Hawkeye, from the “Sun Kings” of Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 116, launches off the flight deck of the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz (CVN 68). The USS Nimitz and USS Theodore Roosevelt (CVN 71) Carrier Strike Groups are conducting dual carrier operations in the Indo-Pacific in support of maritime security operations and theater security cooperation efforts.
