For the sake ofeconomy, if for no other reason, it would seem that the WesternElectric Company would adopt its customary modern methods inthis case also. In Fig. 134 is shown the hook-switch now embodied in all thesubscribers instruments manufactured by the Kellogg Switchboardand Supply Company. The hook lever, L, is of brass, pivoted in abracket, B, secured at the side of the box. It is normally main-tained in its raised position by a strong spring, S, secured to thebracket.
