Army Soldiers from the 557th Medical Company Area Support, 421st Multifunctional Medical Battalion, 30th Medical Brigade, help set-up tents and other facilities at Camp Bondsteel, Kosovo, in preparation for the arrival of qualified travelers from Afghanistan, August 27, 2021. Soldiers from the 557th MCAS were called to duty on Sunday and on the ground in Kosovo by Tuesday. The Department of Defense and Department of State are committed to supporting the evacuation of American citizens, Special Immigrant Visa applicants and other at-risk individuals from Afghanistan.
