The Duke of York pub in Kingston, Yeovil. Photo taken in 1973. The main pub (see photos b and c) on the main road, was rebuilt in 1905 but this later rear elevation is more box-like. The sign over the door is for The Albany Lounge whereas the menu board advertises the Albany Bar and the perspex hanging sign has been smashed. The gallows sign on the front corner is for "Lounge, Buffet Bar Car Park at Rear." There is no brewery signage visible however photos c and d (maybe taken later as on 35mm negatives) show a Bass gallows sign. The corner shop sign is for what looks like Sophia

The pub later became "Buddys" and later still the Conservative Club once they'd moved from Prince's Street.
