It is always well, however, to sponge outthe eyes, nostrils and dock, smooth over the coat, hand rub the legs,strip the ears and take off the clothing worn at night, replacing it witha clean, fresh change. EXERCISE—The too common opinion that an ailing animal in a boxstall, especially if roomy, gets all needed exercise, results in the neglectof a very important factor in hastening the return to a condition of use-fulness.
