After the meeting the members inspected Mr. Rieman's new houses, which are at present filled to overflowing with the finest kind of bedding stock. All of his houses as well as the store and potting sheds are pro- fusely equipped with electric lights. The annual picnic will be held at Willowmere, southeast of Irvington, fol- lowing the kind invitation of F. Harritt. This picnic will take place some time in June. The June meeting will take place at Smith & Young's Stratford green- houses. The Smith & Young Co. would be pleased to see a full house; every body will be made comfortable in the meet- ing room in seats of pecky cypress; there will also be fine illumination by coal oil lamps of the latest pattern. NOTES. John Bertermann, a farmer on the Na- tional road, is planting a rose garden that will be the envy of his friends and neighbors. Such a real estate boom is in prog- ress at New Castle that some firms con- template moving to the country. Smith & Young Co. expect their roses and smilax to be in full crop by Decora- tion day. F.
