Gill- rakers short and few. Dorsal III 8, above space between ventrals and anal, originating midway between occiput and root of caudal; anterior rays longest, f length of head. Anal III 10, falciform, anterior rays longest. Pectoral pointed, shorter than head, widely separated from Fig. Barilius weeksii. Type (A. M. 0). ventral. Caudal forked. Caudal peduncle twice as long as deep. Scales with radiating striae, 39 g|, 2 between lateral line and ventral, 14 round caudal peduncle. Silvery, olive on the back. Total length 70 millim.
