The tradition is thatafter the death of his wife, Freeman, whowas the first settler in Sandwich of thatname, had these boulders drawn by oxento their present location, placing the Pil-lion stone over the grave of his wife,giving at the same time instructions thatthe Saddle stone should be placed over hisown grave, upon his death.
