Whytoch gave a travel talk of his visits to the gardens of the old country after ii two months' trip. Lockie Wilson gave a his- tory of the growth of horticultural or- ganizations. A vote of thanks was tendered on motion of H. A. Dillemuth. It was decided to approach the govern- ment asking the appointment of a com- mission to help gardeners and floriv;ts coming to this country. Messrs. Wilson and Whytocii were appointed as a com- mittee. On invitation of P. L. Whytoch, a .special meeting will be held at his home May 2. G. M. Geraghty will report on the floral exhibit at the Canadian national exhibition. The winter fair will be held Novem- ber 17 to 25. A contribution of $200 was voted for this year. Thomas Man- ton, the representative of the associa- tion, will be assisted by Messrs. Milld, Evans, Whytoch, Geraghty and IIol- getts in dividing up the $3,000 pri/.<' list. J. K. M. L. Farquliar addressed the Toronto Board of Trade on the proposed botanical scheme last week and the Board of Trade will get behind the scheme and give it its support. Various Notes. The pulilicity committee of the To- ronto Eetail Florists' Club, under G. M. Geraghty, is planning an advertising campaign which will likely be the last for this season.
